RealTest supports importing data from MetaStock-format folder trees.
To import MetaStock data, specify "MetaStock" as the DataSource, and provide one or more DataPath statements with location(s) of MetaStock data folders.
Only top-level folders need to be given. RealTest will recursively traverse the entire folder tree under each specified folder. In each folder, RealTest reads the EMASTER (or XMASTER) index file when present, otherwise MASTER.
Symbol Names
Since RealTest symbol names cannot contain spaces, vendor symbol names are normalized on import: each space, tab, parenthesis, or comma becomes an underscore, and consecutive underscores are collapsed to one. For example, a symbol stored as Nifty 50 imports as Nifty_50 and can be referenced in formulas as Extern($Nifty_50, C). All other characters, and letter case, are preserved. If two names normalize to the same symbol, the first is kept and later duplicates are skipped.
This normalization applies to symbol names from any local-file data source, not just MetaStock.
